Profile

Yasmin Smith is a Sydney based artist who recently completed her MFA at Sydney College of the Arts. Yasmin was a co-director of the Sydney ARI, Locksmith Project Space and is currently looking to set up a residency program, The Dark Tea Time of the Soul, a country house for artists located in the central NSW town of Cumnock. Yasmin works mainly with sculpture and ceramics. Her sculptures are often surreal incarnations of ordinary things. Her previous shows include For no real reason, at Firstdraft gallery and the group show Everything's Alright, at Roslyn Oxley9.
