ARTISTS / TILMAN -
Profile
For the last thirty years, Tilman's work has primarily been driven by a desire to explore the qualities of light and colour. More recently his practice has shifted from creating paintings towards creating works which bridge object, installation and situation. He intends these to be "understood as spatial, architectural structures, creating a forum to experience and broaden the perception of light itself, as well as the perception of 'painted' light ... [B]roadening the understanding for the potential of colour as light, I continue to pursue the comprehension of light as an essential and constituent element of life."
Tilman's solo exhibition at Peloton coincides with two group shows: My Eyes Keep Me In Trouble at SCA Galleries, and SNO 38.
