ARTISTS / CLARE MILLEDGE

Profile

Clare Milledge questions our ongoing belief in omnipotence whether it be in religion, shamanism or art. This forms part of a grander project looking at the enduring human project to elevate ourselves from the material and transcend our own animality. Using humour Milledge addresses these serious concerns, taking on the role of an anthropologist to link diverse eras and cultures through art and looking at the role art plays within this search for transcendence.
